2022-2023 Annual Award Nominations Needed

As we close out the current bowling season and get started in the summer season, it’s time to look back and nominate deserving individuals for awards that will be presented during our annual awards banquet to be held in September.  The board of directors would love to have your help with these nominations.  We need both male and female nominations for the following awards:

Lifetime Achievement Award:  To be given to one female and one male.  It is given for a lifetime of dedication to the game of bowling.  The bowlers must be at least 65 years old.  They may be active or inactive in the sport today.  They should have been involved in the game for 20 years or more and contributed in the advancement of the game of bowling in the city.

New Bowler of the Year:  This award is presented to one female and one male new bowler in the association who has bowled in certified competition in the city.  Participated in the City Tournament, has good league attendance, exhibits courtesy and sportsmanship.  Average does not matter be it high or low.

Sportsmanship Award:  This award is presented to one female and one male bowler.  The nominee’s should possess several of the following characteristics:  Friendliness, sportsmanship, leadership, and participation in the game.  They should be in good standing in the league(s) in which they bowl.  This award is not based on average or skills, but the love of the game.
