Bowlers, it’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Allan Porter on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Allan was a long time bowler on both the Wednesday Longhorn and the Thursday Night Mixed Leagues out at Sheppard AFB. Please hold a special place in your prayers for family and friends.
Funeral/Burial services will be November 2nd at 2PM, Fort Sill National Cemetery, 2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd., Elgin Oklahoma.
Greater Wichita Falls USBC Association – Press Release
USBC recently prohibited 6 Storm products from competition in USBC national tournaments. However, they remain on the USBC approved list. As long as they remain USBC approved the Greater Wichita Falls USBC will allow their use in the City Tournament and league competition.
The Storm Spectre and the 2016/2017 Model Purple Hammer USBC approval has been revoked and therefore cannot be used.

The Greater Wichita Falls USBC Association is now taking nominations for annual awards from the 2020-2021 Bowling Season.
As everyone knows we got a late start this year due to Covid and will not have time to plan or host an awards banquet for last year. However, the Board of Directors felt that we still should give out some awards for those that got a chance to participate in the 2020-2021 season. Most (if not all) the bowling was done this summer. So we would like your help choosing the award nominees.
You can download the nomination form here, or they will also be available this week at Village Bowl and at South Lanes. We will have a director make an announcement at all leagues this week as well.

In light of the current situation with the Covid-19 virus and the need to reduce public gatherings, the GWFUSBC Association is postponing our 2020 Annual Meeting. We will decide on a make up date when public health officials let us know it’s safe to do so. Until then please take care of yourselves and those around you.

The Greater Wichita Falls USBC Association is seeking award nominations for the 2018-2019 bowling season. These will be awarded during the 2019 Awards Banquet coming up in October (more on that soon). Any bowler from the Association can be nominated for the awards listed on the form. To make a nomination you do not have to be a member.
The deadline for submitting the nomination form is 14 September 2019

With the 2018-2019 fall season upon us, we’re looking for volunteers from our leagues to help us out by taking pictures of members when they achieve an honor scores (300 Game, 800 Series, etc…). If you are interested in helping us out, please send an email with a picture and a brief description of their achievement, to “GrWichitaFallsUSBC@gmail.com”, We’ll post the picture and the details on our Web site/Facebook/Twitter pages and give you the credit for sending them to us.
With your help we will be able to recognize our members and congratulate them for their accomplishments in all the leagues within the Greater Wichita Falls USBC.
